Seething Control Tower News.

The official open day season for 2007 has come to a close, and now the maintenance and display team will soon start to "mothball" or remove the fragile and valuable items from the building and protect them from the cold, damp Norfolk winter weather. The external redecoration is complete and looking fine, and work laying a new electricity supply cable will be carried out next week. All winter and spring we will be working to improve and preserve in unaltered condition, this splendid memorial to the glorious 448th Bomb Group.
For over twenty years local people have worked on the tower. Everyone who gives their labour and time is unpaid, Why do we do it? it's a labour of love. Please read the extracts that I have taken from the last control tower newsletter. I feel sure that we will see some of you next season, when the tower gang will be happy to show you round. You don't have to be a member and admission is free, everyone is welcome on open days. Membership details are on this site, and the newsletters are always full of interesting items.
