Silvertop's  Tribute to Pat.

Mrs Patricia Everson. 448th Bomb Group Historian

Much has been told of the hard work that has been put into restoring the seething control tower. For twenty years dedicated and generous people have worked wonders to make this fine building as it is today.

But, it is the work of one person that has given the tower a "Life and a Purpose " thank you Pat.

Historian Patricia Everson has a large collection of photographs, personal stories, diaries, group and squadron records, and very much more. that can be seen on open days. Pat has spent many years gathering and compiling her splendid and most  informative record of life on and around a airfield in wartime. Pat has other memorabilia on display and she is always there to help veterans relatives trace their  wartime history, and always finds the time to write numerous pages for the tower newsletter.

Patricia has always lived in Seething and well remembers the generosity and warm hearted feelings that all US servicemen had for the local schoolchildren.

Pat is well known for her ability to seek and find information  that has evaded many others, and below you can see a very small  typical example of her work. Just one page from Pat's Piece. (Station 146 Tower Association Newsletter ) Aug 2007.

On behalf of all Members........... .Thank you Pat for all your hard work. and thank you Ron (Mr Everson)  for the support that you give to her.
