Aerial Photography By Mike Page. The Mike Page Photo Library.

A Silvertop web site

Aerial photography is an important artistic skill. A lot of the world's most interesting patterns are only apparent from the air.

Usually the best way to illustrate the value of a building or piece of land is with a photograph taken from a helicopter or airplane.

Many people want historical aerial photographs for business or personal reasons. They may want to locate the boundaries of an estate or a piece of property. Or they may want a photograph as a record of changes in their Village, or as a gift.

Expert aerial photographer Mike Page has a vast collection of stunning images of Norfolk and Suffolk from the sky. These unique pictures make a perfect gift, perhaps you can even see aerial views of your house.

Because aerial photography can be used for such as variety of purposes Mike's images have been used by many organisations, the news media and schools. Using a small video camera attached to the aircraft he has produced in addition three video films and DVDs of the Suffolk and Norfolk coastline with all profits from the sales donated to the RNLI and to the East Anglia Air Ambulance.

Mike's photo library contains over 80,000 prints of which 75% are aerial photos taken over the period from 1980 to present day. Items covered are the beautiful Norfolk coastline, coastal erosion, major developments, historical changes, towns, villages, The Broads and various landscapes throughout East Anglia. Wildlife and insect photography including dragonflies, butterflies, moths etc. and railway photography forms the remainder of the library. Rail includes steam and diesel throughout the United Kingdom with some rail yards, stations and trains photographed from the air. The library also has many hundreds of aerial pictures of the old airfields of east Anglia.

Mike has published several excellent books that show the full beauty of the Norfolk and Suffolk landscape and coastline from the air. His latest is now on sale, and there are more in preparation that will show the old railway stations and rail network of Norfolk.
